Common Questions & Answers
We strongly recommend that you stick to 3 days a week, with a rest day between workout days. The rest days are just as important as the exercise days. Anytime you exercise you cause muscle strain which then needs time to heal in order to build and get stronger. Without proper rest, your muscles will actually get weaker as will your tendons, and reaching your goal will actually become harder.
What do I need to start?
Pullups requires a sturdy pull-up bar that is fastened to a solid construction structure (such as a solid doorway). Always check that bar's stability before beginning a workout. Other than that, we do recommend that you exercise while listening to your favorite music; it's much more fun that way!
What are the health requirements?
This program is built for beginners and there are no particular health requirements, but as with any exercise program, please consult a doctor before beginning. Safety first!
How do I stretch/warm up properly?
There are many great online videos with warm-up/cool-down stretching techniques. Here is one of our favorites
Can I skip workouts/levels in the program?
Once you've started, if you will find some days are too easy then you can skip ahead until you reach a workout that is challenging, but not impossible. Then proceed according to the program, without further skipping.
Can I repeat weeks?
Yes, you can! If you feel a workout is too much for you, feel free to repeat it until you are comfortable moving on. You can even move back to a previous workout if you want. The most important thing is to keep exercising in a healthy way. No point in risking injury.
I'm sore after exercise. What do I do?
Ensure that you stretch properly and get enough rest. Muscles soreness is normal, injury pain is not. It's important to listen to your body when doing pullups to prevent injuries, especially when you first start out. If you have any doubts, please consult a doctor. If you are doing other routines (such as pushups) we recommend that you do them on the same day, leaving a full day to rest.
